First English exam, I smashed it. YEAH!!!
Judging from your crude demeanor,I'm not quite sure yet.
I tore it up into a million pieces.

I doubt you know the different between "smash" and "tear". afro

What's an HSC exam?
In our High school we just graduate...

Stands for Higher School Certificate.

Now, I only know how it works in NSW but...
Well at the end of high school you get an ATAR rank/score/whatevs that you use to get into a university course that you'd want.

Different universities will have different ATAR scores for different courses depending on popularity.
Hence why stuff like Fashion Design requires a higher score than say, Biotechnology which is a load of bull if you ask me
More popular universities will have higher score requirements too.

The score is dependent on how well you did in your assessments + assignments in the final year of high school (the HSC year) as well as on the HSC exams themselves.
Thing is, it's not your assessment marks that matter too, it's more your rank within the subjects compared to others in your grade, and I think the state too? Dunno can't remember.

why am I always so tl;dr

What do you plan to get into anyway LXE?

Oh wow; that's what I was thinking of majoring in.

But then I realised the employment field wouldn't be that large.

Wrong, Mechatronics Engineering is basically a mixed fruit salad. You have a whole wide range of opportunities because you learn stuff from all sorts of Engineering courses.

I've been told that in this course you learn to turn dumb machines into smart machines or to be more precise the lecturers to turn dumb students into smart students.

Abridging course basically means you would take a high school course in uni and complete it within a few weeks, whereas in high school it would take 1 year or so.
i think :3

I finished the entire preliminary 3-unit course outside of school in like, one and a half months, senior high school is just a poor excuse to keep students at school.

Yeah I know that: it's basically a cross between mechanical and electrical engineering and computer science. But mechatronics is still a separate field in its own right. You would only have specialised knowledge in 'mechatronics', so while you would be able to get a job in a related field (e.g. mechanical engineering), I doubt one would be able to get a 'senior' position.

Also yeah, you get things done so much faster in Uni than in highschool :\

Uhh post it up and I can have a shot I guess? I went over LXE's story inbetween arenas to break up the monotony of grinding for those damn weapons from chibi rooms.

Gee thanks bro...

All my passages are written and submitted immediately after in school. =[

@LXE: Good for you...I just met the worst English paper I've ever seen today X[

Plenty of people can easily glide through 3u prelim maths, i'm only in the 10th grade and this term my class is starting the 3u HSC course, since we finished the prelim last term. Without tutoring/'outside of school' mind you.

I know civil and chemical engineering have a pretty big employment field.

Hell, the university I'm in even has scholarships for being female in Engineering. Which is understandable since that faculty's a real sausage fest.

As for uni being faster, it depends.
Lecturers get through material pretty quickly but it's a bigger focus on subjects on your major so there's a lot more detail.
Like for example, I met a guy who was doing 2 different chemistry subjects in this semester, and 4 more different chemistry subjects next year.
