 Ouka Builds?

I've worked on this a while, and I just can't make the 40 wlk/str builds people say are possible.

I've got 2 Great Grapplers on the sword, and a couple High WLK beta tunes. I'm wanting to prioritize mobility with Boost Run, possibly the highest purple boost run speed if possible. 40 Str isn't a must, as those G Grapplers tend to make things die fast. Since the melée metagame isnt what it used to be, I'd like some extra TGH, as large melée bots are my bane.

P.S If you post a build, don't put in the scrolling boxes, I can't scroll them down.

If you can fit Stealth System it'd be nice, but not necessary. Broad Radar is a must though:

Yeah, don't know how people expect to be able to pull 40/40. Maybe if you use a cheaper BS and/or legs...?

My Ouka uses 40 str and orange-tier boost run with x2 slow x1 high glad on the Shinuchi Ouraikiri. Carts are x6 capacity, boost run, stun regain, short boost, blast guard (thinking about cart resetting this to quick land).

I can kill things fairly fast at the moment, takes maybe 2 combo's. I'm wanting more Tgh, 15+ and red/purple boost run.

I tried getting 40 WLK 18 Fly in CosmiCalc, but ended up taking up most of the capacity in the process. I have 32 WLK ATM and 13 fly. Not sure where that is on the chart, will go check now though.

Maybe will try redteir boostrun. I hear the STR multiplier doesn't work very well, so maybe might just do 20 Str and keep the G Grapplers with 15+ TGH.

Either swap something for quick land or take sway over short boost.

I doubt this is good or even close to optimal, since I forget the boost run break points, but I threw this together:

Last WLK breakpoint is 36 so didn't go further than that, too lazy to check breakpoint for boost run and added hop for lulz. If you took out hophop then 40-40 is completely possible, and you'll sit at 6 fly.

Not sure about kynx's build, because as I said, can't read scrolldown boxes like those.

As for Num's build.

Looks about what I want. 38/8 is still orange teir. If I was okay with that, I could drop WLK considerably and stay in orange. Or for 2 more FLY I'd hit red teir. Ace of Hearts acc is one more FLY, and I can do a regular Boost Tune if I want. If I stay orange teir, I could get broad radar.


Not sure stat differences, but Accel has +1 more fly swell as 2 WLK, making me able to not have to tune to get up to red teir. Will drop sway/blast guard or stun regain for short boost. Am curious how her combo works mid hop.

Small update
Tuned her a bit, and got into the red teir boost run just barely with 36 WLK and 13 FLY. I have only her first slot tuned on each part, so theres still a lot to work with.

Will going farther into red mean I go faster still, or are those the only breakpoints with no change inbetween?

So now I'll focus on cartridges, and see what I have to tune with after there. She's currently level 5 with Boost Run and 4x Capa carts.

I'm definately taking shortboost, not sure on quickland though.

wouldn't that make 30 wlk 18 fly the max boost run speed for land?

Land has that as an invisible bonus over the others. Land may still have breakpoints at 30+. That just means that when racing a SUP/Air with equal walk, it'll feel as if you have +10 more wlk equivalent than them eventhough it's the same.

Breakpoints are the same, just means land is faster at each of them iirc.

Trill's got it. You just go faster, it isn't a literal numerical difference.

this is my build... no bost run (I know, all u use it but Im not a Bost runner...) not sure if it will work as I want, I notice the combo doesnt works as the one in ivis or vanguards.... probably will fail a lot cause low TGH....

after the lvl 10 I notice that some Alpha tunes where not needed but they increase the success rate (%).... xD! just 1 slow tune just as a bonus in the attack.

Im not a fan of sword guard, so I'd reccomend removing that. Replace with stealth system or quickland. I see an EX tune on the LG too, the first I've seen, nice.

I'd suggest personally more weapon tunes on the sword, even if its grapplers. STR doesnt play as key of role in determining weapon strength. Since you're not using boost run, you cant escape as fast, so I'd suggest maybe getting a bit more tgh (I'm going for 16 TGH with 40 WLK 17 FLY).

Looks decent enough, although Dayu is meant to be pretty. Pick a prettier lower head ac Embarassed

removing sword guard doesnt sound bad... the acc, yes I hate that Start Googles!! TGH is a pain, I want more... will think about it later.. cause the 3rd slot tune is hard... 60% with harmonic and it fails a lot... (damn I failed 5 times in a row in 855!!! useless 300rt)

but as update, I have use this build in Arena and is working good, not OP as others Oukas but at least it works.

I remember seeing a long time ago (back when OB/OS started) when people were sending off ss of 40 str/40 wlk oukas. I don't remember much of them (nor can I find their original threads), but I do remember this:

For them to go 40/40 they had to drop something, that either being slow or carts.

The one Ouka I remember seeing right now, had 2-3 slows on the blade, but in exchange, only got ouka up to I think level 7 or 8. The only carts that person took was boost run.


So judging from the amount of free cap she does have (which is quite a lot compared to other melee bots of similar role, and daresay calibur), you're going to have to give up either carts or slow to reach that 40/40.

Or cheap out and go with really cheap lgs/bs or skip a bs entirely. But that's not possible for Ouka iirc, she needs many slots to keep adding run tunes to -_-
