I had no idea that older CB players have grown into full-fledged masochists, now complaining that C.S. is giving all players a nice treatment.

And no, even before card campaings the server had around 50-80 players daily

and the current pattern is 150-200 during events and 40-60 when there aren't events.

the current pattern is not an improvement. People ONLY play during the events. They aren't here to play the game, they are here for events. Once people realize that they only play for free things that they will never actually use(because they just play the same thing over and over again for EZCARDS) they'll stop coming back for events.

People only play during card campaigns because of the free stuff, that's not fixing the main problem only a temporary counter measure for the current population problem. Either they keep the events coming or just scratch this game off. Because man! I doubt even if they'd make a new game mode/system most people will mostly just say its shit like how most teenagers react to everything, SHIT.

they need them to NOT be events. Simply an always on system of a "monthly goal" sort of thing of getting a set amount of playtime rather than forcing people to achieve 250 matches in 2 weeks. If you change it from "you get 50RT a month" to "you get 50RT + 3 gara rolls a month" the game actually looks a lot more appealing to the non-paying player. Additionally, not forcing it to be done in a small time frame is more appealing to the less hardcore players who dodge the first week of events and only play during the second to avoid "tryhards" who try to grind out all the cards as fast as possible. There's even some people who get 250 cards in a single day from playing gamebreakingly strong units. Allowing longer time frames to collect cards(ie, having it reset monthly automatically rather than it being a event) is less of a "everyone play now!" message and more of a "we're generous people and we'd like you to play our game."

just my thoughts on how the current system could be improved. Obviously the game is extremely broken and few people actually enjoy playing the game for what it is, most just want things, but you can cater to those people more effectively with this sort of method as opposed to "grind time" events.

Making the cards permanent and reset monthly sounds reasonable, provided CS can come up with other kinds of events to fill the vacuum they'd leave. With the abundance of ballers around, I'd like to see a baller-only event, for instance. Baller vs. Baller fights can get really intense.

Considering that card campaigns go out a monthly basis, it would work just fine.
I don't see why they can't also just make like how some gacha heavy games do, which is that every time a new gacha is added, the first roll is for free.

If I don't see another card campaign before Diablo 3 RoS patch 2.3 comes out, I probably won't play CB much any more and do more Diablo.
I've actually been playing more Hearthstone lately than CB because the dream box items don't have the 100% harmonics omega drop that I need

I kinda want a Player vs GM event. I'm okay with the current game I'll quit when I get tired of it like I always do. I only went back to the game since I saw my friend playing it and I noticed that the graphic wasn't as blocky as it used to be. Tuning isn't payer oriented now, if I recall correctly in the old days vanilla tunes weren't 100% materials were easy to get but you had to pay for protectors. They didn't give it out for free unlike now where you can easily get one by using Ivis/Eris mates. Basically this game is a whole lot better than it was I don't know about the balance but I never did care about what people use and how op it is I just enjoy playing around, running in circles being a complete retard and shooting people in the face.

People play berz/homura/stella etc, etc even with no card campaign, in small rooms. I dont see the problem with another "try hard" campaign.

^Imo it is about both. ike i you use something like a dua Oceana AM aphag you will probably get a card for jamming, regardle how smart you use that effect.

I'm happy i kicked on an interesting discussion Very Happy

My point is that current system can work IF it's monthly (WITH new gara monthly) and without "tryhard mode" forced (even on EN; last campaign was: one card for just partecipating; so i -and a lot of other people- just used unit we had fun with...no award? 1 card anyway; so it's fine.)

The current system works well in giving player a new "toy"(moe) of their choice everytime a new gara comes out; avoiding gara grief...as i said in the old topic i rolled 200 rt of blue balls on the weather gara; but i didn't give a f*ck 'cause i could get my Asphe anyway. Cool

It would be fine to just give said free new moe+3/4 Battle gara tickets monthly.

P.S:Also more content to give something to do during said month, when was last time we were encouraged to do something that was NOT UW? (Last time we had a NEW Chaos room, a new structured Mission-like Gigan/Star Cluster-,new Bastranagant bosses/Arcantus stuff*ok Torrencia was kind of nice BUT limited*,new Legion orders,etc.etc.)  

To make a comparison in the same time frame-a year- PSO2 added a sh*tload of stuff with EP3.(For how much ask/PM me as i do not want to derail this thing too much =3)
