...Wow. All this time, I've been doing most of my tuning completely wrong. I feel that I should've known better.

I strongly recommend this guide to anyone that is serious about tuning. It's a real eye-openner. O_O

I just read the new part of the guide. It's very informative and comprehensive, and newbie player won't feel so rushed when reading this. Also maybe if you mention that untuning GCapa into a composite material, tuning it back will count as an EX tune.

Dunno why C.S. do this orz

Hopefully tuning GCapa isn't counting as an EX tune ;w;

Vengeance Blade and Sky Gladiator are the only marginally useful 4* toons. Long Moving Burst and Crimson Crusader are still the best 4* tunes to go for.

except in the cases where you gain 0 use from any of those tunes, where you use custom stun supply because all 4 star tunes suck dick

any dual main weapon unit will benefit from custom stun supply.

things that come with long moving burst built in also want custom stun supply. Alpha accel sounds good but you can't have both it and guard burst due to them being overlapping effects, and guard burst is just better 90% of the time since the majority of super close range alpha units are custom made ones that will need the LMB core tune anyway.

How exactly does vengeance blade work? Dia told me that bot get the effect when being stunned by range damages, but I'm sure I got it after being stunned by melee damage too. Core tunes' descriptions are just stupid.

Whenever you're stunned by ANY attack you have a 35/75% chance of reflecting MELEE attacks.

Yeah, I am not sure how much testing he did. He told me the same but then I got an activation when an abyss kicked me so I donno. Vengeance is kinda underwhelming anyway. There are way too many melee centric 4*s and still a good portion of bots I am still putting LMB+ on just for the 10 hp :/

Most of those requires tuneable wps though, so things like brave drive BS builds may find that tune useful I guess. There are also single weapon gunners.

That's my point tho, I mostly play single weapon gunners. And vengeance blade is the only marginally useful one for those, and it just doesn't seem worth the mats to me atm, so I usually tune for LMB+ for the hp since I have 300 rainbows.

So Vengeance Blade Proc for the Brave BS spam stuff?

If so I'll have to remove my CC+ on my sunny and put that instead for my tornado spam play.

Before you guys go all googly-eyed at Vengeance Blade, know that it only procs on stuns originating from ranged weapons.

It does not proc from melee stuns, nor ranged attacks that count as melee stun (abyss projectile, melee form aeolius ranged shot, etc), which is stupid since it's meant to punish melees in the first place.

A LOT OF THE NEW CORE TUNES HAVE HIDDEN CAVEATS.
4*
Alpha Accel prevents Guard Burst from being tuned, and vice versa.

Vengeance blade procs only from ranged stuns, as mentioned earlier. I have personally tested this on Dertia's support with VB+ one week after nova plates were distributed (~Nov 26).

3*
Wonder Blast disables wonder bit reactivation for 20 seconds (gg wb cancel tactics). It does not prevent WB charging, automatic or otherwise, but you can't use it even if it's fully charged.

Wonderlyze completely drains the remaining WB gauge if you deactivate it for any reason.
Wonderlyze melee bits also become a bit too gung-ho and tend to orphan themselves while chasing targets (once they stray over 300 range from the caster, they will simply become stuck outside your range until you move close enough for them to track your location).

Guard Runner's all guard priority overrides almost all other buffs that apply all guard as well, and removes them when it stops. This means all guard+CV from HD Ivis is automatically dropped after guard runner kicks in and the player stops moving, for example.

I got it proc'd from the claw whatever mob in haku and Halex got it from abyss "kick" though.

And you forgot wonderlyzer's feature which is limitless HS instead of duration like in the description.

Maybe they fixed it, but I wouldn't jump the on bandwagon before rechecking it.

I was discussing hidden drawbacks, not hidden features.

How can they fix it without any maint if you guys tested it one week after nova plate was distributed which was last week and I got it proc'd at the same week? Make no sense.

I can definitely confirm that Vengeance Blade WILL proc with melee attacks, I've seen so many people get procced with it right after I hit them with my Daed AM bot that I need to record a video of me doing it.
