PostSubject: Notable robots and parts (March 28th's update)   Notable robots and parts (March 28th's update) EmptyMon Apr 01, 2013 2:48 am

The update brought a huge of previously garapon/cube exclusive robots to the shop and included UC versions (1 slot in each part) of some who were already in it. All robots with a RT pricetag are 2 slots, so in some cases you will lack enough slots if you want to obtain a perfect stat score. Because robot cores don't have any number slots this means that some of the newcomers to the shop are as good as the garapon versions and hence are a priority over other bots unless you are looking for a specific part or just want to get some good looking mech. I also included other things of note and misc stuff.

(This list is based on my experience/opinion and is not intended to be the "best guide you can get" for this subject. Keep that in mind, please)

Very notable cores

UC

Victorl I-SR (Excellect core and it's for UC)
Blazed Baron (A very good land core for whatever you want)
Amateus (QL+SB. Very versatile core)
Greinaut (Gravity gimmick)
Maxis (Standart railgunner)
Misty Hollow (Dark Mist Internal. Quite useful with some many arts in Union Wars)
Pulsardio (Standart L sized support)

RT

Air Raider (Standart air Moving Burst core)
Albatreos (Very versatile and powerful core. 2s psygun)
Amateus Nova (The amateus with Broad Radar)
Vector Eagle (Useful internal weapon, but it's also a good core for itself)
Genbura (AURA based railgunner)
Psycho Cluster (Decent internal for some alpha builds and can also "snipe". Not so powerful compared to modern air robots)
Victory FB (Cheap, low cost art robot with a good internal gun)
Ghost Raider 117 (For low cost alpha builds)
Geograsis F-Type (Standart L air core. Good stats)
Pacifar (Very popular M air core. "The sky's the limit" when it comes to builds)
Cosmo Kaiser AC (Dual gattling land robot. The capa is kinda low though)

Other stuff of note:

Aquila UC (Useful for PS Breaker/Berze/Frac builds)
Gywain UC (Versatile L air core)
Bugsycait UC (Very good core. Not good at all by itself)
Jack Gadget UC (Now your Mediger can farm trees at a decent rate)
Thoarla Nimbus UC (LG lets you use another BS part. Quite popular part)
Brickgale UC (BS is very useful. Also the core has above than average stats)
Mediger (Healing arm)
Mach Knight ACE (LG makes for a decent long range subweapon. Not so good these days)
Sharhead UC (Only UC robot with Air Run)
Mecha Jetter UC (The best M air core for UC)
Vanguard Fencer (Babby's first right click spam. Not very durable by itself or against modern humanoids)
Shaden (BS used to be very good. Now with Perse/Nicole/Kata/etc : RIP)
Izuna Kamui (LG lets you use another BS part. If you want the core ability better get Nagi for UC instead. Not worth the RT imo)
Ritter Lazflamme (The BS improves the performance of many melee bots by a large margin, like, for example, Vanguards)
Seiron (AURA air robot with a very good lightning gun)
Suzeku (AURA air robot. Combine Suzeku BS and Seiron HD to obtain a poverty Lux Legion)
Domiclown JO (Rest in pieces 2010-2010)
Contradict (An improved Destructor...kinda)
Psycho Formula Type 2 (HD is used for art alpha builds)
Raystag (The HD part for alpha airs)
Dugdiver (AMs are used in art alpha builds. Don't let you use handheld weapons)
Kealmes (AMs are used in art alpha builds)

Random comments:
-Now UC players can buy L Support bots without RT.
-The traditional air alpha mech (Air Raider+Frau/Paci ams+Raystag hd) is no longer garapon exclusive.
-The "new" UC Nicole pretty much puts the final nail in UC gara Nicole's coffin.
-Thoarlas only have Am1
-This shop update may imply an incoming UC gara update (I hope).

shaden's core is comparable to GeoF, except he gets radar and geo has a bit more capa. For builds like thoarla arms, shaden core is certainly more useful with radar, unless you are actually using shaden boosters, in which case you'd want geo's core.

117 doesn't get Moving Burst! 230 range is hard and capacity is tight.

Only consider if you have RT stuff.

Where's mention of Gathimas?

Shaden has more capa actually. Shaden BD has better everything than GeoF aside from tgh. If you want Broad Radar you take Shaden or Garulabird though.

He offers quite a bit for the cost in terms of cartridge selection, and the range can be dealt with via Q-tab overrange if it's an issue.

She's good for beam shooter mod or plasma gun too.

Those two are pretty niche in modern day CB, though they're definitely noteworthy for the right crowd.

What about Pulsardio Gamma?

Contradict core is worse than Destructor imo but admittedly I haven't used it much

Fair enough about the right crowd.

I should retry building 117, then.

Up to personal preference. He's pretty cool imo, though.

Well, before Victorl was introduced, he was the only L ART robot with the SB, QB, and BR combo!

i don't think so. i can reach 36/34 easily with 2x EIW+2x K-Shield+jet accel BS with only 5 capa carts out of 7 (with blast guard). you can easily get 2x clearance/CV by getting 6 capa carts+2 EIW+2 hop carts. if you want broad then drop 1 EIW or just tune capa maybe. The core's rather versatile for me with many useful carts and enough capa(and level 1 broad).

# Aquilla UC
I can Vouch Aquilla UC to be a good (not perfect) Air Core for Berzing/Fracing.
^ Arm him with Thoarla LGs, Mecha jetter AMs, Mecha Jetter HD... you should be able to 40TEC him (Otherwise, Accel Saber AMs and tune right~)

# Gwyain UC
His BD is great. his Main WP is for farming too. or just make it flashy for your opponents. His capa is next to Shaden for L Airs (without Broad Radar). His parts are crap though (1s lolz)

# Bugsycait UC
His BD is one hell of a hopper. The arms might be a bit fragile, but they're usable.

# Brickgale UC
Expensive. about x4 the price CB-KR drops it, but regardless, the BD and the BS. take those.

> Actually Contradict is an Anti-air type of Destructor, because of how his AA Missiles Curve. And fires 2 missiles on 1 target. Just ammo hungry.
^ He learns boost run at 1~... his capa is nice Very Happy

i just want to say that his internals should be something you try to intimidate airs with.
not actually try to rely on.
i played with contradict for about three days solely stock in the arena with x2 internals.
hitting airs was tough stuff.
hell, i hit ground units more than i hit airs.
unless i was doing something wrong, i consider his internals to be very mediocre.
something about shooting a billion missiles and not hitting anything made me smile and enjoy him.
i should have stuck an l-baz on him.

TBG is great core for m-art hopper too (broad, short boost, quick land, stun regain and high stats/capa).

Shop Lala only has 9 dances with x2EIW and it can't be ammo refilled by Fluene.

Awful, just awful. I wasted 70Rt.

Gara Lala has 11 and they can be refilled by Fluene. My point is that there are more differences between Shop bots and their Gara counterparts than just having 2 slots.
